Kansas City

Well, I leave for Kansas city on Wed.
I'm excited about it, my roommate seems extreamly awesome. I think we'll get along well. I've found a couple local venues to play my music at, which I think will make me more plesent in stressfull times. Although right now my talent isnt great, I hope after four years at this school I will be able to look at my work and recognize the talent I have, and learn to appreciate it as much as everyone else. Art is my passion, but i'm not sure if it's my lifestyle.
I guess thats what experience is for.
One step at a time.

I'm leaving Deviant Art for a while if not for good.
I have a music myspace that sounds terrible because I recorded with with Windows Movie maker, but if you want to hear my not so good songs. Go there. Some people love it, some people hate it...
I'm just here to make music, good or bad.

One of my Pieces is in a current Gallery they have there until March 24th.
Its in building B if any of you ever stop by.

I'm excited and some what proud of it. I've had many friends that have made it into galleries, and I have been very proud of them. I'm just finally relieved that someone still looks at my work as art, instead of fashion and "what'll look good on a magazine." I put more thought into my pieces than just snapping pictures of peoples faces, believe it or not, I do think before hand about the lighting, and the positioning of the faces, the make- up and the style.

I leave the model up to the expression.
I believe that is the true art and talent of being a photographer and a model.
If the model is able to create an expression that pins them down to the teag, and the photographer masterfuly captures that look with out runining its perfect flaws.

Be well,
Gwen
